Maine police get grant in memory of former chief

BANGOR, Maine — The Bangor Police Department will be getting some new gear and equipment with a grant from the Stephen and Tabitha King Foundation.

The 25-thousand dollar gift was made in memory of former police Chief Don Winslow, who passed away earlier this year.

One priority is to get new jackets for officers.
